CLIFF L. CHEUNG, CFA

Cliff has more than 30 years of private equity investment experience in Asia. He was previously a partner and Managing Director/Chief Investment Officer of PAMA Group (originally known as Prudential Asia), one of the oldest and largest private equity firms in Asia established by The Prudential Insurance Company of America in 1986.

Cliff has served on the board of directors of many public and private companies, including KorAm Bank (now Citibank Korea) and Meritz Securities in Korea and many other Asian companies in the media, telecommunications, technology, manufacturing and consumer businesses across Asia. Cliff is a founder of renowned boutique hotels One Niseko Resort Towers and ONE@Tokyo located in Hokkaido and Tokyo of Japan respectively. He was previously Chairman of The Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, and has served on the Listing Committee of the Growth Enterprise Market of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Financial Services Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and Asia-Pacific Advocacy Committee of the CFA Institute.

Cliff is active in charity work. He is a long-time supporter and director of Chi Heng Foundation, a registered charitable foundation established in 1998 in Hong Kong focused on providing education and development support to children from families impacted by HIV/AIDS in China. Cliff is also one of the founding directors of SOW Asia Foundation, a philanthropic venture fund; as well as founding Chairman of Social Investors Club, a Hong Kong social investment company.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Cliff received his bachelor's degree from the University of Hong Kong and EMBA from J.L. Kellogg School of Management/HKUST. Cliff completed an advanced leadership program at the Tsinghua University in Beijing and is a charter-holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
