Mr. Cheung is a private equity veteran with more than 25 years of experience investing in Asia-Pacific and the U.S. He was previously a significant shareholder, Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of PAMA Group Inc.(originally known as Prudential Asia), one of the longest-established and largest private equity firms in Asia established by The Prudential Insurance Company of America in 1986.

Mr. Cheung has served on the board of directors of many publicly listed and private companies, including KorAm Bank and Meritz Securities of Korea and companies in the media, telecommunications, technology, logistics, manufacturing and consumer businesses across Asia. He is a former Chairman of The Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, and has served on the Listing Committee of the Growth Enterprise Market of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Financial Services Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and Asia-Pacific Advocacy Committee of the CFA Institute. Mr. Cheung is also a founding director of SOW (Asia) Foundation, a social investment fund to support social enterprises in Asia.

Mr. Cheung is a Hong Kong native. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong and received his EMBA from J.L. Kellogg School of Management/HKUST. Mr. Cheung has also completed an advanced leadership program at the Tsinghua University in Beijing and is a charter-holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
